What's A Girl To Do
Written and Recorded by Richie Goldman
3:40 sec MP3

OK, so this one is kind of strange. It was part of a project called Psychofunk where I was writing strange songs that featured my bass playing. This one is about a guy who goes in for a hangnail ailment... and the do the wrong operation.
"They screwed up on me , now I'm she , what's a girl to do"
(Not a true story!)

Towed Away

Towed Away was recorded following an excellent Victor Wooten concert at the culture room in June 2005. I had actually attended the September 2004 Victor Wooten BASS NATURE CAMP. I had spent a week with just about everybody in the band. I was waiting for them to come out after the show when my friend came to inform me that the car was TOWED AWAY. I didn't get to stay and say hello but at least I got this little tune out of it. It is a drum machine with three bass's (including one bass through a wah wah pedal). Do not park across the street from the Culture Room!!!

Always
 Recorded by Firefall
Written by Paul Crosta, Johnny Sabataro

In 1992 I got a call to do a 4 song demo for a band called Firefall. Firefall had success as a folk rock artists with songs like You Are The Woman and Strange Way. The four songs I recorded were good enough to get Firefall back on the Atlantic label and made the record. The Always track which I am on includes Steven Stills and David Sanborn on Sax. It made it to #59 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #28 on the Adult Contemporary chart.

FatHead

There is no really interesting meaning behind this song. It was just a funky melody (if you wan to call it that) that was playing in my head. It is recorded with my Warwick Fretless bass and my 1976 Music Man Stingray bass. You should be able to distinguish the difference between the two bass's.

I play in a band called Blue House. We are now writing our own material. I'll put that out here soon. For now here is our version of the Elmore James classic Shake Your Money Maker.
